Staging & AV Requirements for Speaking Engagements

How big is your conference or event?

Less than 60 people Between 60 & 400 people 400 to 1000 people More than 1000 people

Less than 60 people 


Sound

Sound cord available at the stage area (where the laptop is) to access both laptop sound and sound from an MP3 player.

Lighting

Please ensure adequate lighting for the stage area and on any whiteboards or flip charts used.

Please ensure the projector is bright enough to enable good lighting on the stage area.

Presentation Visuals

Please ensure that a VGA Cord is available at the front of the stage area. Blake will supply his own laptop if required, or a USB Flash drive to transfer data onto the laptop already provided.

Please ensure the screen is appropriate for the room size and that it has already been set up prior to the presentation.

Please supply either a large whiteboard or flip chart positioned appropriately at the stage area.

Stage Layout and Positioning (Speaker Perspective facing the audience)

Lectern is preferred at the front left of stage if possible.

Flip Chart is preferred at the middle right of stage.

Projector in the back middle of the stage (rear projection screen preferable or alternatively a ceiling mounted projector)

Sound levels to be tested prior to the presentation.
